Heads up!

Santa Fe and the surrounding areas have these little plant stickers called goat heads. They can puncture bike and stroller tires as well as thin shoes. You may want to consider fortifying your tires ahead of time and definitely make sure the kids are wearing sturdy shoes when out and about. I keep Fix-A-Flat and a bike pump in my stroller to make sure the tires are repaired right away when my kids and I are hiking. Just a quick 1-2 second burst is usually enough to fix it. There are also inserts you can put in your tires to make sure you don’t catch a flat in the middle of a ride.
